Aamal Almoayyed Sanctuary is an animal sanctuary in Bahrain. This website lets people find animals available for adoption, apply to adopt one, book a visit and sponsor an animal.
We only ask for what we need to place an animal in a suitable home.

We do not ask for card or bank details on this website. Payments and donations are settled in person at the sanctuary.
Sanctuary staff reviewing your application. Not other visitors, and not other applicants. Staff who only handle the sanctuary's accounts cannot see adoption applications at all — working out what an animal costs does not require anyone's home address.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
On Google Cloud, in a data centre in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Authority has recognised Saudi Arabia as providing an adequate level of data protection, under Ministerial Resolution No. 42 of 2022.
One exception, and we would rather state it than let the paragraph above imply otherwise: if you allow Google Analytics, the information it collects is processed by Google and may be held outside those countries. That is a reason you might reasonably say no, and saying no changes nothing else about the site.
The site needs one cookie to keep you signed in. It is not used to track you and there is no way to browse while signed in without it.
Beyond that we would like to count visits using Google Analytics, so we can see which animals people are looking for and which pages are not working. It is off unless you turn it on: nothing is loaded and nothing is sent to Google until you choose Allow on the banner. If you do, Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, the pages you view and basic details of your browser.
We do not use it for advertising, and we have turned off the settings that would share it for advertising. We never send it your name, email address or anything you type into a form, and it does not run on the staff screens.

We are still setting retention periods, and this section will be updated when they are agreed. If you want your information removed sooner, ask us and we will do it.
Under Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will respond. You will not be treated any differently for asking.
